Renaissance St. Croix Carambola Beach Resort & Spa is located on St. Croix's lush north shore and is spread out over 28 acres along beautiful Davis Bay. The resort was inspired by the various waves of settlements that characterize the history of St. Croix. The red roofs reflect St. Croix's Danish heritage, while the French influence is found in the louvered windows. The British inspired the in suite's porches, and the use of mahogany and embuia woods is the legacy of St. Croix's Spanish settlers. The symmetry and central entrance are reminiscent of Creole homes. In design the architect has captured the spirit of a Caribbean-fishing village, with cool spaces, promenades and patios that offer a delightful mixture of privacy and sociability with access to views of the bay, hills, and the Caribbean Sea.
