OUR PACKAGES

Our packages are intended for the independent traveler, with the flexibility to select how many nights you want to spend in each city and the ability to create your own itineraries, selecting your own travel dates, list of cities to visit, flight itineraries, etc. You may combine the following services in our vacation packages: international flights, hotels, car rentals, local transfers, sightseeing tours, regional flights.

  • We do not sell flights only.
  • All prices are expressed in US dollars.
  • We do not charge online booking fees.
  • We do not charge for booking with the assistance of a live agent on the phone.
International and Regional Flights

Some fares will not accrue miles. Our site may offer you the lowest deal available, but in some extreme cases the system might generate an unusual itinerary. Such as switching of one airport to another or changing airlines between connections. With these particular itineraries we strongly recommend that you have a minimum of 4 hours to make your connection time. If you are willing to accept the itinerary as shown then you will be solely responsible for any flight schedule changes given by the airline, misconnections, or any other event that might affect your itinerary. It is your responsibility to reconfirm your flights directly with the airlines at least 72 hours prior to your departure date (outbound and inbound). It is also your responsibility to verify luggage allowance with each airline. Please note your itinerary may include two or more airlines, and the luggage allowed on each flight may differ from one air company to another. Our site makes random seats assignments for your flights. TripWitz does not control seat numbers availability on a plane. Seat numbers are released by airlines reservations system so we can block them on your behalf. Some airlines block their availability of seat numbers for certain flights, and they reserve the right to offer such seats. When booking a child under the age of 2 years old they WILL NOT get a seat rather it will be considered a lap baby.

Airlines occasionally create overbooked conditions. TripWitz cannot be held responsible for these situations and will not refund moneys for such situations since they are beyond our control. Passengers need to present and resolve their compensation issues to the airline directly at the time the situation arises. We will not refund any money due to passengers arriving late for check-in. Passengers should plan to check in 3 hours prior international flight times and 2 hours prior regional flight times. Passengers are responsible for verifying their air itineraries with the airline 24 hours before departure. We will not refund moneys for missed flights due to airline schedule changes.

The airlines reserve the right to make changes to equipment, schedules, carriers and pre-assigned seats at any time. TripWitz cannot be responsible for airline flight schedule changes or cancellations. Advance seat assignments are issued by the airline and are subject to change at check-in.

Your vacation package may include discounted Non-Refundable Airline Tickets. Please check with your TripWitz Agent BEFORE booking.

Hotels

Our system shows live availability for hotels. Our list of hotels available for a city changes according to your date selection. Any hotel special request will be submitted by TripWitz to the property but is never guaranteed and subject to availability at time of check in. Examples of special requests are: early check in, late check out, smoking rooms, non smoking rooms, bedding request (number of beds and/or size of beds), floor number, view (unless specified in reservation), etc. If a non refundable property is booked during the booking process the client is responsible for the TOTAL price of the non refundable property that has been reserved.

For further assistance with hotels selections, you may contact our customer service representatives. All hotel descriptions reflect the most updated information provided by the property at time of printing. TripWitz cannot be held responsible for the condition of accommodations. There may be charges applicable for some amenities listed in these descriptions as free, and availability may vary by season. In these instances, TripWitz is not responsible for any charges incurred by the traveler in utilizing such amenities and client agrees not to make TripWitz responsible for the availability and/or accessibility of any and all facilities and services at time of stay. Client will notify any dissatisfaction with rooms or hotel facilities with the hotel's management during the passenger's stay and will not make TripWitz responsible for the dissatisfaction. Hotels, at times, just like airlines, create overbooking conditions. In overbooking cases, compensation and arranging accommodations in another hotel is the responsibility of the hotel and passengers must negotiate all compensation with the hotel during the stay and not make TripWitz responsible for any financial compensation due to the overbooking situation. TripWitz is not responsible for any changes initiated by the passenger after departure. Our prices do not include additional expenses such as laundry, parking, alcoholic beverages (except when included), excess baggage charges, baggage insurance, meals (except as indicated in itineraries), items of a personal nature, tips and gratuities of any kind. We do not accept hotel points to pay for accommodations. In the same way, clients will NOT accumulate points with their hotel programs when booking thru TripWitz. We will not refund monies for dissatisfaction with the conditions of a property, its rooms, facilities or services. Some hotels request that we wait to submit guest names until 7 days prior to check in. In such a case, your hotel room is reserved, but your name is not yet on file with the hotel.

Car Rentals

We require a minimum of 3 consecutive days to confirm car rentals. Rental periods are based on 24 hour increments from the time of check out. There is often no difference in price for a 5, 6 or 7 day rental periods. Some countries do require that you present an International Drivers License at time of pick up, in order to check out the rental vehicle. The cost of an IDL is usually around US$ 20 - US$ 30 and can be purchased at your local AAA office or your local DMV. An IDL is a translation booklet that is carried with your government issued drivers license when driving outside of the US. It is intended for the foreign officials to be able to read your actual state issued drivers license. IDL's are typically translated into French, Spanish, English, Italian, Russian, Arabic, German, Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese. Rental period assumes one day equals 24 hours. A one day overtime will be charged if customer booked time exceeds used time by over an hour.

Some state and local taxes and fees can only be collected at the destination and clients should expect to be charged about 20% of the booked price. Drivers that are less than 25 years of age will be subject to a supplemental charge at prevailing counter rates between $20 to $25 daily.

Car seat for children are available upon request, daily fee this fee can vary per company. GASOLINE OR THE REFUELING OPTION, UPGRADES, OVERTIME AND DROP CHARGES, UNDER-AGE AND-OR ADDITIONAL DRIVER CHARGES, ALONG WITH ANY APPLICABLE TAX THEREON, GPS, ARE ADDITIONAL AND WILL ALSO BE COLLECTED DIRECTLY FROM THE RENTER AT THE TIME OF RENTAL. Check with your car insurance company to see if they cover car rental; if not your will be charged for car insurance on location.

Prices

Prices are subject to change without notice unless paid in full. Please note that some hotels charge for parking and/or a resort fee which is not included in the price. You must be at least 21 years of age or over to rent a vehicle. If you are between the ages of 21-24 a surcharge of $25.00 per day will be charged at the time of pick-up. This is not included in your price. All prices are in US Dollars.

Safety

Please be aware that during your participation in vacations arranged by TripWitz certain risks and dangers may arise beyond our control including, but not limited to, the hazards of traveling in undeveloped areas; travel by boat, train, automobile, aircraft or other means of transportation; the forces of nature; political unrest; acts of lawlessness or terrorism; and accident or illness in remote regions without means of rapid evacuation or medical facilities. TripWitz will not have liability regarding provision of medical care or the adequacy of any care that may be rendered. It is understood that TripWitz will use its best efforts to ensure that adequate measures are taken.

PASSPORTS, VISAS AND TRAVEL PERMITS

All travel documents are the responsibility of the passenger. A valid passport with at least 6 months validity after the date of travel is required. You are responsible for checking with the appropriate consulates and respective authorities as visas and/or vaccinations may be required. Note that our agents cannot be expected to know all documentation requirements for your trip. No refunds will be entertained for passengers who cannot embark on an aircraft due to incomplete documentation such as lack of passports or visas or affidavits for minors traveling alone or with only one parent. Keep in mind that entry requirements may vary for US-Citizens and Non US-Citizens.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel insurance is highly recommended. Travel insurance is an optional / not-mandatory item. You are responsible for selecting to accept or decline the travel insurance at the time you purchase your package. Insurance must be purchased with the package and can only be added before your booking is processed.

Forms of Payment

Visa, Discover, MasterCard, American Express, Debit Card, cashier's check, cash, money order, or personal check (personal check must be received at least 10 days before departure date to allow time for clearance). Please note: $50 fee will be imposed on returned checks and changes to forms of payment after payment is applied. Multiple charges to credit card(s) may occur, however amount charged will not exceed total package price reflected on Client Confirmation.

Final Payment

Final payment is due 60 days before departure. For booking made less than 60 days before departure, full payment is due at the time of booking.

Change Policy

You may make changes to your booking. However, each change will result in a $150 processing fee per person, plus any additional processing fees imposed by our travel suppliers. Travel packages are non-refundable for travel dates between Dec 15 - Jan 7. No changes are allowed for travel dates between Dec 15 - Jan 7. Changes are allowed 30 or more days prior to travel date if not traveling during Dec 15 - Jan 7, based on availability and price, but may be subject to additional fees. No changes are permitted within 45 days of departure. Unused trip components will not be refunded. Name changes to airline contacts are allowed (when possible) 45 or more days prior to travel and will result in a $250 per person processing fee, in addition to any penalties imposed by our travel suppliers and or airline.

Cancellation Policy

Please be advised that cancellations 45 days or more prior to departure incur a penalty of $150 per person.
Cancellations within 30-44 days of departure incur a penalty of $200 per person.
Cancellations within 20-29 days of departure incur a penalty of $250 per person.
Cancellations within 8-19 days of departure incur a penalty of $300 per person.
Cancellations within 7 days of departure, the travel package is non-refundable.

In addition to The TripWitz policy, all fees and/or penalties imposed by travel suppliers for air, hotel, ground, and other service cancellations will be assessed. All fees and cancellation charges will be deducted from any amounts to be refunded. If travel documents have been issued, no refunds will be processed until all tickets and vouchers have been returned at the expense of the participant.

TRAVEL VOUCHERS AND SHIPPING OF TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Most of our services are ticket less. Documents will be delivered 1 to 2 weeks prior to travel.

Those vouchers are your proof of payment for vendors. You must print your vouchers and carry them with you during the trip to render services with the final provider (hotels, tour operators, car rental companies, etc). Travel vouchers are emailed to the e-mail address listed in your booking form page. Please use one email address only. Passengers are responsible of informing of any changes/corrections to their address. TripWitz is not responsible for travel documents delivered to the wrong address and therefore being lost or stolen.

The contents of this site are for personal use only. Use this web site and its services are for users to request legitimate reservations and purchases of travel services. Much of the information on this site is supplied by third party providers, and TripWitz accepts no responsibility for errors, omissions, inaccuracies or misleading statements which may appear anywhere on this site, whether or not they were supplied by third party providers.

The airlines, hotels, tour operators, and ground transportation companies, on this site are third party providers, and TripWitz has no control over their actions or inactions. TripWitz is not responsible for third party failure to perform, breach of contract, or any action, intentional or negligent, which results in any loss, injury, delay or damage to you or your property or to anyone traveling with you, or to the property of that party. TripWitz cannot and does not guarantee third party provider reservations, timeliness, employee conduct, or the performance of scheduled flights, cruises or tours, or the availability of hotel rooms or rental cars.

After purchase, a confirmation will be emailed within 3 business days. This confirmation constitutes your acknowledgement that you have read, and agree to, the terms and conditions of use presented herein. This confirmation contains the entire agreement between the parties and supercedes any and all prior confirmations or understandings between the parties on all subjects in any way related to the transaction or occurrence described in this confirmation. No oral understandings, statements, promises or inducements contrary to or inconsistent with the terms of this confirmation exist. This confirmation is not subject to any modification, waiver, or addition that is made orally. This confirmation is subject to modification, waiver or addition only by means of a new confirmation that will be emailed to the Client within 3 business days of any agreed upon charge.

TripWitz does not warrant the contents of this site as to accuracy, non-infringement, merchantability, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. All warranties thereof, either express or implied, are disclaimed. In no event shall TripWitz be liable for any loss, damage, injury, claim or any special, punitive or consequential damages of any kind arising from use of this site, even if TripWitz has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In the event that your state does not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, the above exclusions may not apply to you.

TripWitz reserves the right to change any aspect of this site, or to modify, add, or cancel any of these terms and conditions. You agree to abide by whatever terms and conditions are in effect at the time of your use.

TripWitz reserves the right to restrict or terminate your access to this site if, in its sole discretion, TripWitz believes user conduct violates any applicable law or is harmful to the TripWitz or to any third party provider.

If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be unenforceable, such provision shall still be enforced to the fullest extent of applicable law and shall not affect the enforceability of the remaining provisions.

The foregoing terms and conditions represent the entire agreement between the user and TripWitz.

Responsibility & Limitation of Liability

TripWitz is a company organizing travel and vacation packages only. We do not control or operate any airline, hotel, transportation, or tour companies. We carefully select the services included in your vacation package but cannot be held responsible for any injury, death, loss or damage which is caused by the acts or omissions of the vendors. Participation in the tour, any activity or service suggested, is entirely at the passenger's risk. By booking with TripWitz, you acknowledge that in any event TripWitz will not be liable for any consequential damages and the extent of TripWitz liability shall never exceed the amount you actually paid to TripWitz. TripWitz reserves the right to cancel or alter any vacation package itinerary as may be found necessary for the proper handling of said vacation package.
