Water activities of the picturesque Queen Charlotte Sound include boat cruises, swimming, diving, kayaking, sailing, fishing, eco tours, dolphin watching and Picton walking tracks.
Dating back to 1914, the house provides a subtle, tasteful balance of historic charm, retaining the original wood panelled doors, staircase and architectural features. It is set in a quiet, sunny location, on half an acre (2000sqm) of private, established, forest gardens with outdoor seating areas and sun loungers, full size petanque terrain, separate guest dining and lounge areas with open fireplace and stereo system and indoor and outdoor art by local artists and sculptors. There is a common area at the top of the landing outside of guest rooms, with tea and coffee making facilities and a refrigerator with milk - guests are welcome to use this facility.
