The newly renovated El Palace hotel reopened its doors in October 2009. The works have preserved the classic spirit that has always characterized this property, distinguished as a symbol of Barcelona's hotel tradition. Set in the heart of the city center, close to Las Ramblas and in one of the most prestigious shopping areas, it is surrounded by boulevards, theaters and main banks. In the Dali Suite, 150 square meters, a designer has taken the concept used in the hall of the hotel to get the atmosphere of refinement expected from a hotel with the history and prestige of El Palace, using lovely restored antiques, 19th Century desks and chairs and rugs handmade in India. The Caelis Restaurant is available for fine dining. The AE Restaurant is located at the hall for casual dining. The Jardin for buffet breakfast and Sunday brunch, the Hall bar for a quiet drink and the Scotch Bar for cocktails and long drinks. The new spa to be open in March 2011 will provide all types of beauty treatments together with water area, sauna and fitness room, for future guests to benefit from the calm, serenity and luxury of unique sensations of body and mind.
